On May 8th the Kent, Washington office of Brundage-Bone participated in Career Day at Naches Trail Elementary School in Spanaway, WA. B-B employees Jeff Gill and Bryan Gregory brought along a Schwing KVM 39X and set it up for the kids enjoyment and education. More than 150 children from grades three through sixth were able to see the presentation by the pumping company. Brundage-Bone’s Concrete University training program was highlighted along with the various locations served by the largest pumping firm in the United States. A table-top display showcased various pump models that are always a hit with the kids. The company handed out hardhat stickers, “Pumper John” coloring books and brochures. The kids were also given a chance to use the boom controls. Did the company attract some future operators? Only a few years will tell.
