Schwing Adds Control Technology to SP Concrete Pumps
Schwing America, a full-service provider of concrete handling equipment, has added Schwing Control Technology (SCT) to its’ line of SP concrete pumps. SCT provides safe and easy operation of the concrete pump while providing valuable feedback of critical components. “It is simply a better way to control concrete equipment,” explains Jason Zignego, Schwing’s sales manager for the SP line.
All the information is displayed on the large 4.3” color screen, including access fault code history, pump and engine status. Operators can change machine parameters with intuitive controls. A message center informs the operator of system faults and E-stop warnings from almost anywhere using the optional Scanreco wireless remote. The Scanreco transmitter can act as a repeater to allow the operator to control the pump from a greater distance and around obstacles. Built in safety features, including ram change mode and hopper interlock, keep operators safe when cleaning or performing maintenance. “The technology provides endless opportunities to make pumping safer, easier and more reliable,” states Zignego.
Standard features include an electric stroke limiter, auto-on oil cooler fan, dual stroke counters and E-stop monitoring. SCT is expandable and upgradable with wireless remote, auto greaser, electric fuel gauge and hydraulic oil level sensor. All systems work together seamlessly.
SCT along with the all-hydraulic twin-cylinder concrete pump, combine to deliver performance, reliability, and durability. Outputs range from 45 to 118 cubic yards per hour. SP models are available as trailer, truck, skid or track mounted and can be powered by either a Tier 3 or Tier 4 Cat diesel engine. Electric motors are also available.
