Schwing and Kenworth Bring Conventional Chassis to WOC ‘19

Schwing America is proud to be partnering with Kenworth to spotlight its best-selling S 38 SX boom pump on a T 880 conventional chassis at the upcoming World of Concrete, held January 22-25, 2019 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Located in the Kenworth booth (C5103) the S 38 SX will feature Schwing’s 2023-5 pump kit with an M Rock Valve. This combination uses less water and cleans up faster than any other pump. The S 38SX’s light weight design when mounted on a four-axle conventional chassis, makes the unit federal bridge legal, eliminating the need for additional permits.

“Conventional chassis have made significant gains in popularity with concrete pumping professionals in recent years,” said Tom O’Malley, Schwing senior vice president of sales and marketing. “We’re pleased to be partnering with Kenworth in offering one of our newest, most popular models to meet that market need.”

The S 38 SX offers a five-section placing boom that expands the limits of concrete placement and exceeds the capabilities of traditional Z-Fold and Roll and Fold™ booms. In addition, the standard EASy outrigger system enables operators to set up in tight areas without compromising safety.

On the chassis side of this successful pairing, the Kenworth T880 conventional chassis includes the company’s MX-13 455 HP engine — which combines and impressive power-to-weight ratio with low fuel consumption — and an Allison 4500 RDS 6-speed automatic transmission.
